sputnik’s guide to life on earth review by mrs wateridge

Thank you, Mrs Wateridge! Keep the reviews coming…

This book followed a summer in the life of Prez, a young orphaned lad who, whilst in foster care over the summer holidays, was befriended by an alien (dog?) called Sputnik. Over the course of the summer, Sputnik and Prez were on a mission to save Planet Earth…

It was an easy, funny read with the odd illustration here and there adding to the humour. Also so light hearted, even though it covered some of the sadder areas of life, whilst being moving at times.
The characters and places were well described by the author so I had a picture in my head of what was happening to Prez and the people around him.

A great escape from real-life – that’s what I like in a book !
